What the raid?...

What the raid?...- So... Nadva... You don't raid?

- Nope.

- No? Really?

- Nope.

- You hit level 80 ages ago, you're nicely geared, and you don't raid?

- Hit 80 way back ago. Gear is nice but not GOOD. No raiding.

Why don't we raid? We're not a raiding bunch. Our guild raid, our friends raid, yet we refuse to get our feet inside one. Raid is not our thing. We hunt. We go after wild beasts. We gather their skins to make gear and kits. We hunt for food. We hunt for pets (go Loque). We hunt for mounts (go TLPD). But we do not hunt in raids.

We are not anti-social or anything. We love talking to other people and we love to quest with them. But the raid part is too hardcore for us. "Be there at the exact time, spend hours inside an instance fighting your way through ugly guys, drop bosses, get great gear.". Ok the last 2 parts are fun. Dropping bosses is amusing and the gear is nice. But we don't need the gear. What we have is enough. And bosses... Well we can always do a small instance to help guildies gear up for raid content.

Raiding seems a lot of fun. But it's just not OUR thing.

  1. It's not my thing either. When I read all the blogs around about guild drama and raid "performance" (aka drama) it simply re-enforces that decision for me.

  2. ppl raiding for a gear which gets outdated by every patch have just missed the point in playing a game for fun. I know because I raid.

I wish blizzard was adding some long and exotic quests to the game just for fun. Some storyline. Some lore.
